Who operates the Panoramic Wheel?
PWC2 Ltd. is a collaboration of three leading experts in the attractions and leisure industry. With a combined industry experience of over 25 years, the company’s directors bring extensive knowledge and expertise to the field.
When will it arrive at Fota Wildlife Park?
The Panoramic Wheel will be constructed on-site over three to four days from the 7th of March 2025, and will be open for visitors on the 13th March.
Is this a temporary arrangement and, if so, for how long?
Yes, the Panoramic Wheel will be on-site and available to visitors for three months, from the 13th of March to 8th of June.
Will opening times for trips on the Panoramic Wheel coincide with Fota Wildlife Park's opening hours?
Yes, the Wheel will be open to visitors daily, 1 hour after the Fota Wildlife Park gates open (Panoramic Wheel will open daily at 10.30 am) and will close 30 minutes sharp before closing.
How can I book tickets for the Panoramic Wheel and when can I book them?
here is no prebooking available for the Panoramic Wheel. Tickets can be purchased on-site at Fota Wildlife Park by visitors to the Park. The team who operates the Panoramic Wheel offers a seamless service on site for queuing, ticketing and trips on the wheel.
Are there any height or age restrictions forthe Panoramic Wheel?
There are no height restrictions. However, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times when visiting Fota Wildlife Park, including when riding the Panoramic Wheel.
Can I book tickets for the Panoramic Wheel regardless of whether I'm planning to buy tickets for Fota Wildlife Park?
No, the Panoramic Wheel is located inside the grounds of Fota Wildlife Park. All visitors must pay to enter the Park or use their annual passes to gain access. The ride on the wheel then must be paid for separately,
and tickets are available at the Panoramic Wheel ticket office.
How can I purchase tickets for the Panoramic Wheel?
Tickets are available at the Panoramic Wheel Company’s ticket booth, where both cash and card payments are accepted.
How many times does the Panoramic Wheel go around when I’m on?
There are a minimum of three complete rotations of the observation wheel during each trip. The Panoramic Wheel will rotate once or twice while passengers are boarding.
I’m on my own, can a single person ride on the Wheel? Will families bemixed in with other groups, or individuals, riding on the wheel?
Individual customers are welcome on the Panoramic Wheel. The operator will avoid mixing groups during their trips on the Panoramic Wheel where possible. As a family-oriented attraction, the operator believes this approach aligns with the expectations of our visitors and enhances the overall experience.
If I book tickets for Fota Wildlife Park, will I be eligible for discounted tickets for the Panoramic Wheel?
The Panoramic Wheel ride pricing reflects the requirement that all visitors must purchase entry to Fota Wildlife. Tickets start at €5 per person, with discounted rates available for families and annual pass holders.
Is it possible to book group trips for the Panoramic Wheel?
A group may take a trip on the Panoramic Wheel, no pre-booking is necessary.
Is the Panoramic Wheel accessible for wheelchair users?
Wheelchair users are welcome to board the Panoramic Wheel and can enjoy the experience comfortably. However, as there are steps to access both the platform and the seating, visitors wishing to ride on the Panoramic Wheel must be able to transfer to, and from, the Panoramic Wheel independently, or with assistance from accompanying friends or family.
Is the Wheel accessible for children’s buggies?
Children’s buggies may not be taken onboard the Panoramic Wheel. Visitors can deposit buggies in the nearby buggy parking bay, if they are planning to take a trip on the Panoramic Wheel. Staff on site will be happy to provide details.
Is this the same Observation/Panoramic Wheel that’s in Cork city centre forthe Christmas Glow event?
The Wheel is owned by the same operator. However, this Panoramic Wheel is larger than the one that’s operated during the Christmas Glow event, which is run by a separate franchise.
